Help!? I can’t decide: Some tips on selecting your bridesmaids
Bridesmaid duties far exceed posing for a few photos and standing next to the bride on her big day. Being surrounded by your closest family and friends during your planning process is very important. So, how do you choose who will be your all important bridesmaids?
To some this may come easy but others might have a little trouble. If you are one of those brides who are having trouble choosing her bridesmaids, keep reading.
Selecting your wedding party should be one of the first things you do in your planning process. They need to be a part of the whole experience, starting now. You will also need to leave plenty of time for selecting attire, planning parties, DIY-ing, and all things wedding. The bridesmaids should be a part of all aspects of your wedding.
When choosing your bridesmaids here are some things to keep in mind:
Who have you known the longest? Who is most supportive? Who are you close with right now? Consider the financial responsibilities of being a bridesmaid and make sure you select women who are comfortable with them. Also, keep in mind that your bridesmaids will be spending a lot of time together- choose people who get along well.
If you have a large friends circle or family, there are many other important ways to involve people in your wedding planning process. Every bride needs a personal attendant (or two). Being asked to read during the ceremony, sing a song, or even usher-ette are all ways to make sure everyone can be a part of your special day!
